This song was composed by the Modzitzer Rebbe, Rabbi Saul Yedidyah Taub (1887-1947) in the 1930s, while on a trip to Israel. In the interwar period the Modzitzer Rebbes lived in a suburb of the Polish town of Deblin.  They were known for their musical compositions and for their musical gifts. Rabbi Saul Yedidyah Taub composed more than a 1000 melodies.
