Description:
One of three large folk print portraits of Rabbi Mordechai Rozenblat Veitzel of Oszmiana and Slonim (1836-1916) by various artists in Vilna, Slonim, and Warsaw. This work is a micrographic portrait of him comprised of the words of a work about him by Khaykel Lunski, librarian of the Strashun library. Rabbi Rozenblat was famed for his talmudic scholarship, his kindness and saintliness.  Large numbers of people flocked to him for advice and blessings. His numerous halachic decisions were published in a work titled 'Hadras Mordechai' in 1899. Artist: N. Kaselovitch.
