Fundraising appeal for Yavneh schools

A special appeal on behalf of religious schools belonging the Yavneh network. Those who ask for special prayers for the sick or who ascend the readers' platform in synagogue for the Torah reading are asked to make a special donation on behalf of the schools. Most Yavne students are from poor families or are orphans and a municipal subsidy has been withdrawn from the schools, which are now in dire straits financially. "Everyone should take part, with their donations, in the sacred matter of educating children, which is the foundation of the Jewish people and of the existence of Torah."
