Vilna Jewish Education Society.  Organized in Vilna, Poland in September 1924 to promote secular education among the Yiddish-speaking population.  Developed a number of successful educational programs but was unable to establish tuition-free Yiddish schools.  Was still active during the Soviet occupation of Vilna, 1939-1941.  Ceased to exist during the Nazi occupation.
