Diana Blumenfeld Turkow, born in Warsaw, Poland in 1903, was a widely-acclaimed Yiddish actress. She was married to a fellow Yiddish actor, Jonas Turkow, and she and her husband settled in the United States in 1947. Diana Blumenfeld was prominent in the Yiddish theater in Poland, the United States, Argentina, and Uruguay, among other countries. After her death in 1961 the Diana Blumenfeld Memorial Committee was formed. The Committee was active throughout the 1960s
