The Photographic Colleciton on Poland holds c. 8000 photographs relating to Jewish life in Poland from the beginning of photography to 1939, The collection is of mixed provenance and was received from a wide variety of sources. Several hundred geographic localities in Poland are reflected in the collection. The photographs pertain to a range of subjects, including everyday life, religious life, education, work, the labor movement, politics and political parties, antisemitism, pogroms, economic life, art, theater, literature, writers, health care, social welfare, relief activities, charitable activities, charitable organizations, sports.
